The report presents results of a sociological survey focused on the cultural exchange between Britons moved to live in Bulgaria and the locals. The survey was carried out in 2007 and covered the following regions: Gabrovo, Veliko Turnovo, Lovech, Ruse, Razgrad, Turgovishte, Varna, Yambol, Elhovo, Balchik, Smolyan - all of them regions where, according to unofficial data, British citizens acquired plenty ipvxxx of properties. The paper argues that the existing cultural tensions between the Brits and the local population are mostly connected with the everyday life and are surmountable.

In recent ipvxxx months amazement influx of foreigners in the Bulgarian ipvxxx villages ipvxxx provoked the shooting of a series of TV shows, the publication of dozens of newspaper articles, the creation of thematic websites. Just a few years, scientists in the country working in the field of migration studies generally lacked empirical evidence to provoke the assumption that there will be material for research beyond the migration from villages to cities, from the countryside to the capital ipvxxx of Bulgaria abroad. But today tens of thousands of foreigners come, buy properties and settle to live (permanently) ipvxxx in Bulgaria. When this is not about refugees from poor or warring regions of the world, but people who come from the developed modern countries - mainly British, but also many Dutch, Germans, Japanese. Stranger still looks for everyday consciousness the fact that many of these Europeans and Asians do not buy property in prestigious resorts such as Borovets, Bansko, Sunny Beach, ipvxxx Nessebar, Sozopol and settled in ordinary, generally poor Bulgarian villages. Typical explanations for this move, and who find the widest range of media echo the idea that this is about "English pensioners whose money is nothing in Britain, but here they get rich" in the assumption that there are local people who "have problems with the law in their own country" to various conspiracy theories, according to which: "these people are not here by accident - they are sent with a purpose", for example. According to unofficial data of various Bulgarian and British companies who trade in property between 50 and 250,000 Britons have purchased properties in Bulgaria in the last few years. The information on the British Embassy in Sofia is about 46 000 residents. Despite the media interest ipvxxx in the subject country is still not conducted sociological studies that have focused on the reasons for moving to Bulgaria and the way of life here. As a rule, journalists ipvxxx ignore issues of cultural encounters between the British and the local population, the reasons for coming to Bulgaria for the plans of British and Bulgarian joint future. 2. In the course of the study were conducted 65 in-depth interviews. Of these, 50 with British and 15 control interviews with Bulgarians. It covers a variety of important typological groups as among the British, and among the Bulgarians. Interviews were conducted with people of both sexes aged 8 to 70 years, ipvxxx coming at us from different parts of the UK, with different professional experience and family situation. Included are the people who live 4-5 years in Bulgaria (and some of them speak great Bulgarian) and newly arrived ipvxxx British still unpacking.
