Me and a mate (who is better with the good old multi meter than I am) sourced that there was no powe

Right guys, I feel I'm pissing in the wind so looking bluebook utsa for recommendations. I'm building an S1 16v... I've been using a VTS as a donor car. I used the entire loom from the VTS interior and engine loom, however not all plugs are the correct length etc and I have cut and spliced a few plugs to suit 106. Since the VTS is a newer car than the S1 I have this much plugs still there and not sure whether they are to be plugged in any where or can be done with out it. I have a problem with the heater blowers not blowing checked the motor and it's working fine its the wiring... I have checked all that I think is to blame and can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it. I've been thinking on taking the VTS loom out and putting in a S1 interior loom and cutting splicing a GTi engine loom. Should I do that to save messing about with the VTS loom?

That's what I have done Dave but half of the plugs I don't know what their for... Also some of the inside stuff like heater motor not working. I have cut the loom tape off inside and there is wires everywhere trying to source what is what! Head is minced!

No no not cut any off and left them... I've done the likes of the lights as saxo rear and 106 rear light plugs are different (they work!:-)) All the other plugs inside the car are left as is because I don't know if there needed or not... I've been at the heater blower all day today and still no joy. Unless someone has had a heater blower bluebook utsa problem before?

Me and a mate (who is better with the good old multi meter than I am) sourced that there was no power (i think) going to the switch... the earth feeds from the motor to a bunch of earths and all earths are grounded. I read that on the saxo's there is sometimes a problem with the PAS, rear demister and heater blower and to fix it is to make it a positive bluebook utsa feed all the time?! Any ways cut a long story short tried it and it never worked... I have both saxo and 106 haynes... you know where to get more wiring diagrams?
There are diagrams in haynes for single bluebook utsa plug ecu mate, they arnt the best though and looms did alter slightly so it's a pain in the arse with wiring diagrams unless u have the right one / year of car. Are u using the saxo dash? I know what your going on about rear mister etc ive done that before, run a live from the ignition? There are a few websites with wiring diagrams but i carnt remember what their called? someone should?? Have u still got the s1 looms? Chris

I'm using 106 dash but I have ran the Saxo loom right through the car so pretty much the Saxo. Yeah it was like at ignition bluebook utsa take the brown plug with red wires and join them? I took a piece of wire and tried it 1st and no luck! I got the car as a rolling shell... I have the 106 dash and interior loom that came with it.. no engine loom though

Well dave... it looks like this just now... Just wanting everything to work 1st before fitting bluebook utsa a dash... That box in the middle bluebook utsa is really getting on my tits too! don't know what it is! Oh Dave!! someone shown me a picture of an 190e today... It was yours!
I'd fit the saxo dash as the connections will be different bluebook utsa mate. Is it just the blowers not working? rear de-mist working? does the car start?? And what year vts loom are u using mate? The black box? I think it's the immobilizer mate but not 100% as carnt make it out properly in the pic. If u have the saxo carnt u swap the blowers etc + dash over so all the connections fit?? If the saxo is a 1999 or under most connections should be fine, if it's 2000+ you'll have a problem as most of the connections will not fit a s1. Basically if u have a single bluebook utsa plug ecu u should be fine if u use most of the saxo ancillary's mate, w-x reg vts's are dodgy too as their crossover years with loom+ecu bluebook utsa so it gets very complicated. As i said though if u use EVERYTHING from the saxo u should be fine. Good luck mate! Chris
It's bluebook utsa a w reg! I am using all switches etc from the saxo including heater motor, don't think the rear demist works either as the light on the button doesn't illuminate. I checked bluebook utsa last night again and there is live getting to the switch, motor turns with a 12v battery connected. Does the resistor bluebook utsa pa
