Every day in the streets, we see hundreds of cars. Each of them has a license plate. Sometimes we wonder what the embossed on them letters and numbers. What information can we read them?
Types of license plates plates were introduced in Poland in 1922. The basis was the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and the Minister of Internal Affairs. Plates were changed several times. Currently in Poland there are several types of license plates. We can distinguish six basic types. They are arrays of the ordinary - white background with black signs, temporary - white background red marks, individual - white background with black signs, vintage - yellow background vericar with black signs. New tables have replaced the black with white characters that were barely visible at night.

It would seem that the letters are the first letters of the provincial cities. P from Poznań - the capital of Greater Poland, in Warsaw or Mazovia, K as Krakow is Poland, B or Białystok - the capital of Podlasie, Lesser is K or Krakow ... So I figured it myself :) but part of me does not agree, for example, Warmian-Masurian . After all, the capital of Warmia and Mazury Olsztyn this is where literka N? Maybe I'm too inquisitive but still would like to know where it comes from :) Anyone know? :)))
