Hey everyone, So my drivers side key lock is on its last legs, and I decided to buy a $11 one off eBay. Here's the link: http://m.ebay.ca/itm...Id=111222834494 It should come in about a week, I'm hoping it comes with an actuator, my car came with no keyless entry, but power locks. Its the one without the drivers pra udine door actuator, so It just mimics the driver door. I'll post the progress here if anyone else wants to do it, I might end up having a question or two! Thanks!
Link doesn't work.  If the auction is only for the key cylinder then I doubt it will come with the actuator.  To add keyless entry you need the actuators, correct pra udine CPU for your year, and keyless entry unit, and the remote transmitter.
Sorry about that, I think I was signed in that's why. Try this one: http://r.ebay.com/tXXUAJ I realize I wasn't the clearest in the first post... Its not a Mazda keyless entry. Its a cheap no name one haha. I'm thinking if I put a actuator in the drivers door (can't tell from the pictures if there is one in the bundle of wires) and connect it then I can control all my doors by just actuating the drivers.. I can connect the flashing light component in on the hazard switch. I think there's a horn component, we'll see when it comes in... The power window part I can probably connect somewhere in the drivers door, I was looking at the wiring diagrams in my Haynes pra udine manual, didn't quite understand. pra udine My teacher suggested something with a relay to get it to work when the key is not in on, I didn't really understand, but he said he'd show me when we know exactly how this thing works.

The trunk actuators can be taken from any compatible 96/97.  The 98-02 also have trunk actuators but I've never seen the bracket setup on them to know if it would be an easy modification.  I know the 96/97 would be the best compatible actuator and bracket pra udine for the 93-95.  It's not just the actuator but there are other little bits and pieces that go along with the actuator.  You can see them in wiring diagrams.  If you are going with an aftermarket system then obviously I can't help you at all with any of that.  I only know the stock system and wiring diagrams.  Aftermarket systems can cause more issues than they are worth.  That's why whenever possible I'll scavenge parts from other 626 models because there are always wiring diagrams for those to fall back on if something goes awry in the future.
Yeah, I went to the local wrecker, none had keyless entry. I also can't find any online. pra udine That's pra udine why I'm thinking of giving this one a shot. Thanks for your help though, we'll see when it comes in if it will be possible, pra udine I'll post my progress here in case anyone else wants to do it and it works...
Keyless pra udine entry on the 626 also requires pra udine an additional metal rod that the actuator uses to unlock the car.  It is not there on non-keyless or powered door lock systems.  Recommend you take a look at the difference between the non-powered door lock diagrams and keyless entry diagrams pra udine in the 96 Body Electrical Troubleshooting Manual PDF on pmx626.info.  Only reason I recommend the 96 is because that's the only one available online so far.  it's still the same exact keyless system used on the 93-97 in terms of actuators and rods in the doors.  The wiring is a bit different between the years but the diagrams should help you learn which bits and pieces you'll pra udine need as you can compare them directly against non-keyless diagrams side-by-side.

If you buy cheap, you'll get cheap.  I put a cheap on in volvo yrs ago, it lasted about 2 yrs and died.  pra udine Didn't bother to replace because of the work involved.  Bought a crimestopper brand for a dodge.  It started acting up about 7yrs later.  Called the company, sent back the brain box, antennae and both remotes.  They replaced all the components free of charge.  I only paid for shipping to them.  They do honor the lifetime warranty.  And have great tech support.

I agree.  There are more than a few people here who have had serious issues pra udine with aftermarket alarm systems... especially from new owners that have inherited them from a previous owner.  Instead of fixing the issue that they caused they just sold the car and the new owner ends up here asking about how to fix x,y,z shortly thereafter.  I highly recommend you document your installation so if it breaks in the future you can more easily back out of it.  That's one of the reasons I started making videos of my repairs, just in case I screwed pra udine something up I would know how to trace my steps backwards.  I really don't want to see you making a post in the future saying "yeah I wish I would have documented how I wired everything up because it's been X amount of time and I c
